mesmerizing kinetic sound installation by David Letellier

Created for the Saint Sauveur chapel in Caen, Caten is a levitating sculpture, determined by gravity and guiding the evolution of a sound composition. 300 fine wires suspended from two ropes, connected themselves at each end to a slowly rotating arm, form an evanescent surface which interacts with the architecture - DL

a brilliant spoken word piece dissecting ‘the inconsistencies of the education system’ by London based artist Suli Breaks. 

“This poem talks about how we have been made to think about how education and getting university degrees can give us opportunities to have a better chance in making our dream careers a reality. It also touches on how as individuals we are judged and tested by how well we perform on exams, but not all people perform well in exams so why are they made out to feel like they’re dumb?  - Suli Breaks

To produce the 20,000 sq ft mural, I directed an underwater film shoot, where the muse – a classic Japanese woman – appears to dissolve into waves of imagery. My intention is to enable two-dimensional surfaces to harbor illusions of depth, endowing them with such physical qualities as translucency and tension, transforming images from static, self-contained objects to open, flowing fields for visual experience - RM
